Dr Motamedi Oral and Maxillofacial and Implant Surgery - Tehran

Dr. Mohammad Hosein Kalantar Motamedi is currently Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Trauma Research Center, BMSU, and attending faculty at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Azad University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. He received his American Diploma from Pennington High School, in Pennington, VA, USA (honor student). He received his Iranian Diploma from Hur High School in Tehran (honor student). His graduate education was at the University of Houston, Houston, Texas, USA. He received his Doctorates of Dental Surgery (DDS Degree) from the University of Tehran. He completed his Postgraduate Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences from 1987-1991. He was valedictorian of the Annual National

Board Exams in 1991. In 1995 he completed his fellowship at the University of Basel at Basel, Switzerland and obtained full Professorship in 2007. He has published 16 textbooks, 41 proceedings from international conferences, supervised 55 doctorate dissertations and has published 140 papers indexed in PUBMED and SCOPUS with an h-index of 13. At present he is also Editor-in-Chief of “Trauma Monthly” medical journal, Associate Editor of the Biomedical Central Journal “BMC Oral Health” , Associate Editor of "BMC Research Notes"(UK) , Section Editor of "Annals of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery" (UK), Associate Editor of “Dental Hypotheses” as well as Associate Editor of the “Open Journal of Stomatology”. He is also CE faculty of the “Dentistry Today Journal” (USA). He is one of the founders of the BMSU Trauma Research Center, and recently was granted 1st place prize at the Bagher Alum National Research Festival in 2010 and was awarded 2nd Place Prize at the 16th International Razi Research Festival on Medical Sciences that same year for his research. He was awarded "Most Published" by the Iranian Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2009 and again in 2010. Following that, he was chosen for membership in the National Elite Foundation later that year. In 2013 he was accepted in the Academy of Medical Sciences and he is listed in the Marquis Book “Who’s Who in the World” (1999-2013) and in “Who’s Who in Healthcare and Medicine” (2002-2013).
