Al Alam - Tehran

Al Alam International News Channel was established in Tehran in February 2003, coinciding with the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. The channel broadcasts in Arabic with the slogan of speed, accuracy, and precision, and has four main objectives: to provide swift and transparent information regarding regional and global events and political developments; to analyze the historical roots of the issues that Muslims are faced with and find ways to address them; to promote a shared cultural identity, ideals, and interests among regional nations; and to create an active media policy to counterbalance the one-sided news imperialism of the West. The process of preparing and broadcasting news at Al Alam is based on the most advanced news systems in the world. The channel's success is measured by the amount of news it produces and processes, in comparison to the volume of its facilities and personnel.
